clutch issues... need help
issue:
about month ago I installed a new clutch, slave and master cylinder.
I bled the system manually and then used a mity vac pump through the resivour to suck out all the bubbles and it work great!
I drove the car for about 1000 miles nicely, then raced the car at RSD/ls1 shootout. the clutch performed great. The following day I took the car to outlaw for there dyno day, ran 3 pulls then drove home. Again the clutch peformed fine. I drove the car to work the following day and it drove fine.
Except
The clutch started grabbing closer to the ground. I drove the car for a few more days and the clutch started transistioning from being high off the ground (how it was when installed) to grabbing immediatley at the ground. The clutch itself was still biting hard and driving great, its just the engagement/disengagement is right at the ground and now not evening engaging.
I listened to the pumping of the clutch and there is no sounds of air leaking in, plus there are no drips under the car
trying to fix
I used the mity vac system again. Tried for about a hour, yeah a few bubbles came up but still no pedal.
The pedal comes up off the ground all the way by itself, but the the clutch still does not disengage or engage and the pedal feels soft!
solutions
should I try manually bleeding the system off the slave?
is it possible that an air bubble could have been trapped in the system that allowed the car to drive fine for awhile but now it wont?
or does anyone have any other ideas????
thanks dude..
if I cant get it... then the car is gettting towed to you guys!!!
is it possible or has it ever been known to keep air trapped in the slave for awhile, and still run fine for a few miles???

And for the record, I don't think you can squeeze any more power of of that thing with out cracking it open. I'm still in amazement of what that beast put down.
its assuring to know that possibly there is air in the slave still..
Yeah I'm still impressed too. I almost wonder if the engine is loser then pistons rattling in a paint car and thats why the numbers where so high!
Right after I get my tax return, its 12bolt time and a heads/cam
I'm really curious to know how the car responds to an aggressive H/C setup!
