WOOT WOOT I go over to starmont to practice wrestling sometimes over christmas break. And we have like 3 tournaments there this year.

 

I only run the 1/8 with a best of 7.09.Its broke right now and probably wont run for another year yet.When I get it back together it should be running mid sixes in the 1/8 or around high 9's low 10's in the 1/4

 

There are several fast GTO's here in Iowa. We had a meet at tri-state raceway in October for a test n tune. I have also met some guys with some fast f-body's as well. I mostly run at Eddyville because it's only about 10 minutes from my house, but I also try to make it to Cedar Falls or Tri-State a couple times a year.

 

i live in sioux falls south dakota, but i grew up in northwest iowa and went to school in iowa, i was over at cruise to the woods this past year, and down in newton iowa during the summer for a weekend, i know a lot of people in iowa so i spend quite a bit of time in iowa

 

I used to have one. Never had it to the track, though.

BCNUL8R had 2 great runs at 11.1x before Tristate shut him down for no cage. We do have it on video somewhere at LS1gto.com

 

what is the rule for having a cage?

 

11.49 and faster needs a 5 pt. roll bar.

I'm not the fastest...11.76 on the motor in Oct. I went 11.25 on a 100 shot on a 90* day in July, only ran 12.20 n/a that day.

10s on a 100 shot are in my plans for '07...

 

10.84 @ 125.20 with a 1.48 60 ft... n/a at cordova dragway...i live in bettendorf iowa

 

That's the fastest ls1 I've seen around here! Can you share any info on your setup?

 

383 a4 , 4000tci 373 gears, fast 90/90, kooks 1 7/8 lt, true duals, bogarts,
bmr subframes relocation brackets and lca.....etp heads...big cam....

stock shocks and springs full weight... thats the main ones...

I know but I am still a newbie when it comes to track racing. My second time only and I got a 12.2 @118.3 so if the 3.91's go in I know I will be well into the 11's. Not enough to keep up with you guys though.

 

My best 1/4 is 13.17 at Cedar Falls.
My best 1/8 is 8.28 at Eddyville

 

Funny you should ask. My car has made one pass down the 1/4 mile.

ET 11.90 @ 108.5 mph 1.63 60' on M/T drag radials (16" wheels)

and on that pass ran

7.56 @ 90.55 mph in the 1/8

So I guess a little tunin could get a little more out of it !

 

Should we try to set up a trip up CFR in the spring, or over to Omaha?
