How is the track prep for the drag racing? The last time I was at IRP it was like they were spraying down oil, not VHT!

That would be my question too. Also can we change tires for the drag racing?

Last year you had to stay on the same tire for the entire event. Since ORP is doing it low 11's with no 8 point will not be ok unless they changed something. I was at a private even there last year and they made everyone run with at least a helmet no matter how slow you were, even the guy going 17's had to wear one.

I'll wait to see the official rules then. I am not gonna drive all the way out to Indy just to find out that I can't drag race. Thanks for the heads up!

Great point. I don't know what all the rules are, as I am not on that committee. I do know one set of tires for the day. Treadwear was 100 and up last time. The next event in May will have more FAVORABLE tire selection and tire wear.

8 point is too heavy. If I do put one in it will be a 5 point, chrome moly cage. And I already have a DOT & Snell approved helmet

I might be interested. I say for me a safe shot is no more than 50. Keep me posted if he sells it.

Whenever an event is held at an NHRA-sanctioned track, NHRA rules always apply. ORP Tech Staff will be on hand to make sure all the cars comply (at least for the drag racing part).
