free ls7 clutch...
next time i order parts i'm making sure i use a place with some sort of tracking system for shipping... i have to leave for the holidays tommorow morning and my freaking clutch still hasnt shown up. there is simply no way if it shows up during the week i'm gone that somebody wont grab it.
never ever trust the ol' "oh it'll get there by then..."
i freaking hate to call these guys AGAIN and pester them about shipping AGAIN, aint like its gonna help a damn thing...
and no, i wont tell ya where i live. i figure there should be at least some sport in it...
That sucks! Hopefully it will still be there when you get back. You can also try calling the shipping company, to put on a direct sign. So they can only deliver the item if you sign for it. Or you can give them a back up address.
For example UPS, will try to deliver an item to its destination, and if no one is there, you can have it shipped to another address (local).
i had my doubts it would arrive in time anyway, i tried to switch the shipping address monday (ordered the stuff last thurs) but they said they had already sent the ls7 stuff and that it should get here in time. that in itself made me nervous as hell, but there wasnt anything i could do about it.
and i really didnt want to be that ******* guy who calls the place 3 times a day asking where my stuff is, so i figured i'd just be patient and have faith. kinda my fault in the first place for not realizing the timing... still sucks regardless.
i shoulda just drove up to speed inc and payed more. lord knows the weather has been nice enough for a drive.
Have a friend swing by to check it out once a day or so. Hell, not looking to steal it. But what part of chicago do you live in. Are you in the city itself or, in the more residental area's?
i'm north'sih downtown chicago in the ravenswood/lincoln square area. i'm going to postpone my trip a day in hopes that it shows up tommorow. i'm just driving to nebraska in a rental car so it aint like changing a flight or anything, just gonna bum mom out a little...
something just happened that makes me feel a little more secure about leaving before the stuff shows. one of my neighbors who i have never really talked too just happened to leave a bag of christmas cookies for me, and when i thanked her i managed to work in the 'hey if you dont mind checking for a package..." needless to say i feel alot better about it now.
if i lived out in the burbs i wouldnt be nearly as sketched out. and if it does turn out that the package gets delivered and somebody yanks it i could hardly blame anybody but myself, when i ordered the stuff i wasnt thinking that the next week was the worst time of the year for shipping. not to mention the area code of the place i ordered from is a colorado area code, and that state is virtually shut down from the snow...
hopefully it all works out. sry for the rant.
happy holidays!!

Have an idea where you purchased the clutch from, and if you talked to me said you were shopping around for a clutch, I probley could have come close to them, and had it in stock.

i guess if there is one good thing to come out of this, its that the packages didnt ship to my home and then get swiped in my absence.
