just wondering how many people here are firefighters. if so how many years you got, union, part time, vol, war stories blah blah blah.

me i have 5 years, im a emt-b and soon to be medic. non union, but hopefully full time union soon.

I'm not a fireman but my family has been into it for 18 years. My father has 18 years on Lawrence township fire as the maintenance supervisor(mechanic).
And my brother has 10 years with IFD.
So I've been around it for a long time. A lot of my work has come from firemen. Like about 30K this past year.

I do collision repair. I kinda wish I had followed my brother.

19 years on Oshkosh FD. Union official for 13 of those.
Stationed at the airport on Quint 14 and cover the airport also.
Any of you doing the Power Tour?

Thats a good number, should only take a few years from there. Maybe sooner depending on who they weed out with drug and fitness testing.
