It really depends on the cop and how fast you are going. I know a guy that last year was in an LS1 Z and got pulled over for speeing (0-100 or so) but was down by the dealerships and nobody was really around. The cop just said "nice car, whay are you selling it (sign on the back glass)" and he said "because I can't keep my foot out of it" or something like that and the cop just laughed and gave him like a $250 ticket.

The ricers tend to get towed more and taken to jail. They do more of the carzy stuff.

Two years ago I watched a 16 year old DUI weave his eclipse threw traffic with a spare on. He was going at least 70mph threw the walls, missed the last weave. Went threw ALL ove the kitty litter barrels and hit the center bridge support... he almost died. Last year an older guy in a SRT-8 ACR decided to show off to another ricer on 31 and his car ended up in a building going threw a corner at near 100mph.... he later died. I saw the insurance accident pics on that one.... glad I was not th epassenger... He would have walked away from that wreck if it would have been caged.

Granted there are more then a few domestic idiots around here...

I just don't race on the street anymore.

I got tired of the risk. Almost destroyed my car in a spin....

You know the auction building threre past the walls? With the gravel lot? Well I spun out THREW the only opening in the median for a good half mile, cut across the street and stoped in the parking lot.

People stoped and just stared in amazement...... That was early last year, have not raced since. Just played around. I still feel sick when I drive by that area.

Yep, drag radials and a helmet and you will be good to go.

I guess they changed the rule since I went last and anything like 14.0 and faster must have a helmet.

I almost hit the wall the first and last time I went on Tuesday. Thanks to a GTO blowing a coolant hose and IRP not doing a good job at clean up.

The next two guys after me almost lost it also.

NOOOOOO!!!!! and you have serious races there. Not idiot kids. The sticky tire rule weeds most of the ricers out lol.

Cost more money though. Can't remember how much.

Just show up to race but just watch for a while and see how they do things and ask questions.

Everyone there on those days are racers and are friendly. Those are the nights the fast cars come out to play also. Lots of single diget cars.

Just because its a prep night does not allways mena the track is hooking. I know one Thursday towards th eend of the season it was so bad they gave everyone their money back, even the peoole who paid just to watch lol.

I'm down for meeting up on 31 on the 21st.

I know all about racing down Madison. I've done it to many times. Running through those walls at over 100mph. And never been busted. I don't plan on doing it any more either. Not after the deaths.

I also plan on hitting some Thursday nights at ORP. I heard it was 30 bucks and slicks only. No problem. A guy I know races in the bracket series. He's been telling me to come out and see it.

Everyone has told me radials, E.T's, or slicks on Thursdays... saw that on their site a while back I think.

Been there done that threw the walls, safest spot to do it but super spookey because the cops have some good hiding spots. I have seen them standing up in the over passes before. Sometimes you don't see them, your radar detector just goes off all the sudden and a cop pulls you over down the road.

I mess around but nothing serious anymore.... not worth it.

Im down, Im right off southport and 31.

As for racing, Im done on 31. Theres countless unmarked cars that sit from the Red Lobster to the mall. Greenwood even has an LS1 Camaro now. Anyone ever go to The Suds still?
