New Opening Day Format at Gateway: READ!!! Gateway International Raceway's first two events of 2007, (Saturday, March 17th and Saturday, March 24th), have been restructured to offer a car show and a swap meet along with the traditional open Test-And-Tune program.
You can blame new General Manager Len Batycki for the new ideas; he also gained a sponsor, O'Reilly Auto Parts, for the events.
Note that drag racing will take place if the air temperature is 45 degrees or higher but the car show and swap meet will be held as long as it's not raining/snowing.
