PSJ-i was there with my son.they had the clocks off all day,and never sprayed the track at all.Traction was minimal at best,by 1pm my sons car was off pace by 1tenth 60 foot.he ran a 11.95 at 115.he has run 11.72 at 115 last year. i dont think they expected as big a turn out as they had,or maybe they would of preped the surface.LS1BADZ- do you have any pictures of a silver-z28 with convo pros on all 4 from sunday? please post if you do thanks!!!

i just drove my "racecar" to cedar lake and back wednesday morning, on pump gas. hell, i was driving that thing around in january. the only time it was out of commision was for a few hours last year when i put an electric water pump on it after the track. besides my junk is way to slow to be a racecar.

Don't forget that it was the 1st day that it was open. I walked around on the track some after the track was closed and the starting line was sticky. Also, the track had that nice "squeak" when you scuffed your shoe against it. So, I think for the first day that it was pretty good. The track will also come around more as some good rubber gets laid down by some big tire, high horsepower cars

It's easy to blame the track, right?

How'd this guy go WAY faster on the same size tire?

For pics google "Carter Imaging"....

im not blaming, just giving a heads up! 3 years ago when Mangus ran his 10.98, i had friends working the starting line spraying vht every other run for him so that he could get his ten sec pass, when there were only 15 to 20 cars running. So in reality one pass with the vht on opening day is not a lot to ask for, especially when your trying to get some real good numbers in the cold spring air.

Too much VHT is just as bad as having too much VHT. Spraying every couple of passes is way too much and can have a detrimental effect on the traction.
