I'm using SBC (now AT&T) DSL Express. I'm paying $19/month and it's plenty fast for me.

Beat me to it!

I use Road Runner. I don't know what we pay for it as my wife's an accountant and handles paying the bills.

Because I have nothing but problems with it. At my Dad's house, he has DSL and it is a lot better than my Comcast. He only lives a mile or so away from me too.

I'm not sure, I'll have to ask. It is just as fast as my comcast (when comcast is working) and he pays around $20 a month.

Sounds like my package. SBC/AT&T have a few different grades of DSL (speed wise). I used to be paying $25.99/month for the "slow" grade. Then last year they offered me the "faster" grade DSL Express....and for only $19.99/month. I took that right then and there. I've been very happy with it.

DSL can only be so fast, which normally about 768k.

As for the hacking, it depends. do you just have internet and no cable? or vise versa?
