Chicago has always had very fast cars because of the close proximity of their tracks. In addition they have a very large street racing following as well. They even have their own street race forum. Also the Twin Cities just doesn't have a large following of f-bodies compared to mustangs.

Those are excellent times. What tires and suspension setup do you have?

I have all the QA1 suspension in it with Hoosier slicks and skinnies. I have a couple videos but haven't had time to upload them yet. The reason for the time change in slips is because believe it or not that 10.4 run was pretty much straight off the trailor. I never had time to adjust anything like shocks or tire pressures or stalling technique, nothing!! After that I was told to slow it down or go home so I decided to launch hard and let off at the end of the eighth. Well on one run I left hard with a 6.4 in the 1/8 and hard breaked to still end up with a 10.6. It safe to say the owner wasn't too happy and sent over the tech guy to our campsite. To make a long story short the car has alot left in it and I never even had a chance to get it all figured out! Oh, and the reason for the number change was Sunday they changed our numbers in the King of the Hill time trials and I ended up only running twice that day. If you don't believe me Speedo will tell ya everything cause he was there.Traver

Well, I have the biggest jets I have in.. So, its a 150 "NANO" shot and it comes out to a ~175hp. I have the 200 shot fuel in so id rather it be a tad rich then a tad lean.

I have the 100 N20 and the 150 fuel in now and tested it out a few weeks back. The AF was 11.8 to 12.2 so thats perfect in my book. So, I have to use the jetting like this to keep it on the correct AF. So, if I can hook it (1.3X 60') and everything holds together, maybe a low 10 sec pass?

Who tune your car?
How does you car run? ex. bucking, idles high, etc.
How good and how much does you tuner know?
Thanks Jake

Well, i think most of us have the tuning software and tune it by trial and error.. I know that DRKPHX has more experience then me on tuning.. Im not sure about anyone else.

I don't want to trial and error on my car. That will be a **** ton of money down the ******* if I screwed something up!!!!!!! NOT A GOOD IDEA on my end.

Um, how can owning your own tuning software turn out to be **** ton of money?? You are talking about a bad idel, bucking/surging, etc..

When I say trial and error i mean like adjusting all sorts of parmaters to make it idle better, stop the car from surging, adjusting the idel, etc.. you are not going to know (other then reading and learning at least what tables to look at) any of this until you tweak it here and there and see if it helps. Load the new tune in, if it helps then your on the right track, if not then load the base tune back in and try again. Some symptoms, it takes a combination of tables and different #'s to make a difference..
Do that on a dyno or a shop that tunes and #1 you always have to go back and pay more money which will be a **** ton money in the long run, #2 you are not learning ****, #3 you are always going to keep upgrading the car and going to need to tune the car.

Im not saying to add 10* of timing and a 200 shot and see what happends trial and error wise.. WOT is the easy part, its making the cars drivability better is the hard part.

Well, because what happends is you are paying a tuner for their time (and have to try and schedule everything). So, they will change a few things in your tune and say "go try this".. Then its not the way you want it, then you will have to go back and try again and again and again and have to pay more money each time.
So, just buy the software and sit in your drive way (after doing some basic reading obviously) and tweak a few things and laod the new tune up.

WOT is pretty easy with your own software cause your able to do some data logging and come back and review it and see where thing need to be tweaked. Of coarse it takes time and alot of reading but in the long run it will pay off big time.

Do you want listing of shops/tuners?
