SDB is right about the auto's vs the 6-speeds in times. Although my Z already has all the suspension goodies on it. I can actually hook up without breaking the tires loose at all on the street, however even when I bump up to the slicks at the track, thats when I seem to have the traction issues. I have even tried the DR's on the track, and netted 1 more MPH, and only .1 slower ET. I have mentioned this previously, but my problem is the floating I get with the wide street tires up front, and the fact I can't go with skinnies on account of my Baer brakes up front.
The new Z06's are freekin' mean!! And you are probably right about the 1/4 times. But on the other side, I still have less in my Z (not by much) than a new Z06 costs. Any way you do it, to run fast, you usually have to spend a ton to have something nice that runs fast, or you have a hillbilly stripped Mustang that isn't really safe to drive, but costs a fraction on what I have spent to go faster.
