damnit i'm in central IL and i live in the boonies... am i screwed? Oh yea.. my h.s is also 5 miles from any of our small towns.. guess i should be driving the beater truck?

from what i understand there are two types of cicadas..the ones you see in small amounts every summer and then these ones..with red coloring in their wings, etc..they are the 17 year ones, the spend 17 yrs underground growing then come out in droves.
i was 10 years old that last time it happened in this area and i CLEARLY remember it..being at daycamp at YMCA and we couldn't do anything because the little ******* took over the world.

REALLY not looking forward to it if its anything like last time you won't be able to do ****, all toys will be in the garages parked until they are gone. i don't want to think about what those bastards could do to my camaro's paint..

DAMN! There here aready. I had my truck open for alittle while, and found 2 in my truck. There are a bunch of their shells all over my front and rear porch as well as my tree's. Then took my bike back to work, and as I parked it. One flew onto my front tire!

Napalm = Gasoline + Styrofoam. The pink panther stuff works great.
Mix into a fine paste, light and......

yea i agree, i was all psyched up about this, ive heard rumor that they go out after a rain because the ground is soft and easy to get through

i bit the head off of 1 last year in front of my wife and kids, they didn't like it too much! lol. not sure what made me do it, but spat it out immediately because those sum btchs are CRUNCHY!!! i'm looking forward to the full scale invasion though, i think it'll be kinda cool being it's a rare phenomenon.....dodododo.....phenomenon......sing with me......phenomenon...dododo...phenomenon..dododo.. .dodododo-do-do-d0-d0!
