There is an AWESOME newer steak house in Schaumburg near you and the steaks are some of the best I have had and I am a huge steak house guy, and the atmosphere feels like your in VEGAS and a TON of eye candy also! Name of the joint is ENTOURAGE and you will want to call to make reservations and this is close to you and trust me when I tell you it will be one of your best restaurant experiences ever!

If you staying in the Downtown Chicago area then GIBSONS is the best of food, service and atmosphere (as its the place all the Celebrities go also if your into that type of crap and of course was Frank Sinatra's favorite Chicago hang out and eatery when he was still alive in the mid 1990s!

Fogo has valet parking, and there are some lots here and there.

Another vote for Fogo. I went to one in Hollywood. Skip the crappy salad bar and eat all the meat your gut can stand. I had about four beers and I thought the bill was around $75.

Fogo is awesome(great food and unlimited), Chophouse has the best steak I ever ate period, Gibson's is great but very pricey, Smith and Wylinsky's is supposed to be awesome and I will be going there soon.......

Smith & Wollensky's is pretty pricey, food was very good. With a lot of drinks three of us on a work dinner got to like $350.

I have also never been to Morton's, I'll have to try them. I have been to Magnum's, they were pretty good.

If you are stationed at Great Lakes, you should look at Restaurant Row...Milwaukee Ave. Bob Chinn's has awesome steaks and you can get a nerf sized lobster tail to go with it. My buddy Mark's family owns L&L Meat packing and they sell to many of the country clubs and good steak houses including Bob Chinn's . Bob Chinns is a great value.

I know exactly where you can find the type of restaurant that you're looking for!

Texas.

You're not going to find anything around here with peanut shells on the floor. Throw anything on the floor at Morton's, Gibson's or Magnum's and they'll throw your *** out. Buck up and spend $50 for a high quality steak. You wanna spend $30? Go to Fridays.

Dunno that you’d count it, but at some point you should try Lawry’s. They’re kind of upscale, and the bills rack up fast, but it’s worth it. They specialize in prime rib (sorry, don’t really have any other kind of steak) but it’s literally the best prime rib anywhere. Lawry’s has become the standard by which other cuts of prime rib are measured by everyone I know that has eaten there.

Other than that, I generally like the Weber Grill steaks. I used to go to the one in Hinsdale when I lived in IL, but I think there’s one somewhere in Chicago.

Chicago Chop house if you're in the city, and Al Capone's Hideaway in Valley View if you don't mind driving a little ways. When I go for steak, those are the only two places I go.

If you want a good steak go to Sullivan's http://www.sullivansteakhouse.com/chicago/
they are in Chicago at 415 North Dearborn right on the corner!!
they got one in Austin texas and on back at Naperville. You definately gotta get the cajun ribeye(they are sealed in an airtight bag with seasoned cajun juices for 48 hours). Secondly get the mashed potatoes and Onion rings(like no where else). Awesome place. No regrets, trust me!

I forgot to add.......Lawry's steakhouse SUCKS!!!! If you dont like prime rib, dont bother....The menu sucks. Its like the 70's in there. As for Bob Chinn's, if you DO go there, try to go for lunch, same exact menu but half the price. Bob Chinn's is great food.

For the person who asked what branch, check my signature.

We have a Fogo de Cao(sp) back home, heard it was good. Fridays, Chili's etc sucks, period. I may have to try one out sometime that you mentioned, for now, it's the fine NAVY chow. I am trying to get a car when I get my leave.

Like I said LS1, I asked about the car on base thing, since I am leaving soon they won't do jack for me.
