Default So I put my headlights in my kitchen oven...

I'm getting ready to do the whistler mod on the headlights.

Has anyone done this before? The write-up seems pretty straight forward, just wondering if anyone has any tips.. I went with gloss black krylon plastic paint, that should work fine right?

it will have to be when I can get some daylight.. but I will try

I'm currently waiting for the paint to dry, in the meantime, I am really going at the plastic lenses with some rubbing compound.. still trying to get all the haze off.. some refuses to come off.. I don't think I make them perfect.

I broke down and used a medium steel wool and a lot of water on my lenses, then moved to a fine steel wool, and finally, back to the rubbing compound. Several passes with each, and about 3 hours total on the lenses.. It took all the haziness out but they are still ever so slightly cloudy. I'll pick up a polish tomorrow and that should take care of it and make it like new again. You only have to hit the outside to remove the haziness. Some people use 400 then 800 then 1500 grit wetsanding then the polish if you prefer. I can't wait to get these back on the car
