With good air, street tires, spare and jack out, cutout, FTRA, footstalling the car to 1200-1500 and then rolling out fast, I drove a friend's 00 Formula A4 to 12.85@109 a number of years ago. I also drove another friend's TA with similar stuff to a 12.97. The runs were all with the stock converter.

If you do a big converter, you need to foot stall and bring up the revs to 1500-2500 and roll out fast. Don't mash the gas pedal you need to gradually floor it after you have released the brake. Should be able to go a low 1.9 at least doing that.

Your dad made a mistake or you made one with your post? When you take him up on your bet find an 1/8 mile track. 12's in the 1/8 mile, you could almost do that driving backwards

he should have no problems beating the mustang anyways.

If you 2 line up together, dont even worry about him man, concentrate on what you are doing in your car. and keep your eyes on your lights. after the launch, its all gravy..

No problem dude,

one thing I'm surprised these guys missed

position your car behind a slick car in the staging lanes, follow the groove they took it'll give you a little more hook

also delay until a nice weather day, little cooler, good barometric pressure, it's free hp and it'll help the big end . . . get it anyway you can

(my stock converter LT1 A4 went 12.96 and 12.99 @ US41 in the March chill so your LS1 can do it on a nice weather day for sure)

go get em

I would definately run a drag radial for the e xtra insurance of trying to get into the 12's. With the mods and the stall it can easily be done but its all up to the driver. A lot easier to do on the drag radials and if my dad was going to be paying off a car for me i definately be doing everything i could to run into the 12's
