Careful there, the cops are hitting it hard over there. They are even ticketing the railroad guys for hanging out or minor infractions. Used to be a real good road, not so much anymore.

Really? I don't mean on the main streets. There is this road near there that takes you to a very secluded area behind the factories and that is where we set up usually. One time a cop did pass around, (we were jus hanging around) and he didn't say anything.

65th is where I am talking about, I used to live a few blocks from there.. My friend used to work for the railroad and he stopped in there for something and got pulled over. The guys there said they have been busting people pretty regular and threatening to impound cars if they are racing. I used to make test passes back there and get a few races off now and then and was never bothered, and they knew what we were up to. Something must have happened though.

Its a damn shame since it is a concrete road, only problem is there is only one way in or out, so if they block that you are screwed.

That road sucks. It's covered in dust and gravel.

Plus I made 1 pass, brought the car back and had to rush and trailer it up cause the cops were already rolling down the street.

In conclusion, **** that road.

That is why we would race from the west heading east, most of the dust is at the east end. Plus you would be at the street where they would come in, so you could see them coming.

Yeah, I know a few also, but I wouldnt expect much unless you knew all of them that showed up. I need to call one of them and find out what caused the change in attitude.

I'd rather break loose 100 feet out rather than 1000 feet out.

The whole way back down the road it sounded like it was raining from all the pebbles hitting my quarters.

We use to go to 65th all the time... Havent been going back there so much. I heard that to many cars have been going back there and neighbors were complaining about noise...It really is to bad cause that road was great for tuning your car.

That road is 1/2 mile long, you would be over 2000 ft out when you would get into the dusty part. It really was a good road, but like other good roads they get busted sooner or later.

Nah, I wouldn't race down that way. Too narrow. Yea Zeke, next time I'll try to get all the guys out.

I made my pass going west, and probably went another 1/8 mile as I coasted and looked for a driveway to turn around in. The whole road was covered in dust and pebbles. I can say from experience, from about 1/8th mile east of the entrance road, all the way to the east end...Nothing but dust and pebbles. It's not a safe road at all unless you can take the left lane going west..Then you have a better chance since it's cleaner.

I'd rather drive the same distance in the opposite direction and go race on D-road. Or take a ride out to the yards. Not only are they nicer roads, but it's Chicago and I'm not getting in trouble in Chicago.
