Need steering shaft for 01 ws6 asap
I call my local dealer and they said it was discountinued. Its the shaft inbetween the rack and the steering column. Mine melted due to turbo heat and i have alot of play in the wheel now.
Does any one have one for sale in good shape?

They disco'ed a part for a car that was built up till '02? So a 5 year old car can't get replacement parts? If so, that is gay.
Are you sure it's not just on national back order? I recently dealt with a misunderstanding like that. If you give them a VIN, they'll do a nationwide search for the part and forward it to that dealer for you to pick up.

Okay as usual i modified another part of my car to be better. I removed the shaft. Drill 2 holes in it and ran bolts right through. Its really tight and feels better than stock. Then i ground off the bolt heads painted it and put it back together. Looks completly stock. So if im not dead in the next few weeks it worked out great.
