im just glad you diddnt get me a ticket.

"theres no way that cars faster, with all that weight and light bar and stuff in there...." the look on the officers face was priceless. but he was cool. alot cooler than the "its got the nitrous" officer

My car is broke too....
So NO Dyno Day for me SATURDAY!... It's cancelled!
Oh Well... Looks like next year is gonna be better for me! Don't ask me whats broke. I don't wanna talk about it lol!

James

BTW the lifters usually don't pump back up. BUT it's always possible I guess. Sometimes using a heavier weight oil can sometimes quieten it up. But good Luck. If you need a hand with anything, lmk.
BTW in order to replace them, the cylinder heads need to come OFF the engine. Just FYI!

Also if it's a knocking it's usually a bearing. But if it's a slight tick or tapping sound generally it is a lifter. You can use a stethoscope if you have 1 to pinpoint where it's coming from. If you need 1, I have 1 you can borrow. LMK.

So what broke?

My car is down too. It is sitting in the shop, yet again, getting more stuff fixed that one of the previous owners mucked up. It is looking like anything that was touched, is needing to be replaced. It has pretty much spent 98 percent of its life in the shop, since I took ownership a few months ago.

Hey Guys,

It is good to see some good representation from the Indy area. I will be moving my LSx performance shop from Florida to the Indy area at the end of the year and should be operational the first week of January. You can check out what I do at:

www.mikenorrismotorsports.com

I will be bringing along my chassis dyno as well as all of my equipment and should end up being located in the NE area of town and possibly in Fishers.

I will be making an official post most likely over the weekend with a lot of the information. I know weather wise it is not going to be the greatest this time of year, but I lived in Fishers, carmel and Noblesvile for a few years before heading the FL so I pretty much know the weather and area.

I will also be up there the week of Thanksgiving if folks want to get together. Looking forward to seeing some folks and building some new business relationships.

Mike,

That is good that you are moving up the NE side of Indy. Hit me up willing to meet up and grab a drink. I lived in Fishers for about 19 years.

Wowsers. This maybe a blessing for me. Got a Tony Mamo special being built right now that will need to be tuned (2002 Z06 - LS2 stroker), and I just happen to live in the Fishers/Geist area. Car wont be ready until after the first of year and I will be looking for a tuner that can get it right (AND I MEAN REALLY RIGHT! LOL!). Good luck with the move, hope it is a smooth transition, and who knows, maybe I can be your first tuning customer in Indiana after you set up shop!

Best of wishes!

Steve

Sounds good man. Keep us posted. There's never too many performance shops around. Especially 1 that knows what they are doing. I'm down for meeting you as well.
Best of Luck with your move! And if you need any help getting settled in or setting up shop, Give me shout. I'm always up for helping someone out and making a new friend. MANY people on here will vouge for me!

Mike,

Welcome to Indy. Wish the best of luck with your business, but please go anywhere but the NE side! Traffic is a nightmare up there.

What kind of tuning software do you use?
