just moved to indy yesterday!! you guys do anything around here? im in school till 11:30 pm mon - fri but weekends im game! coulduse a lil help with some tuneing if anyone is bored

We usually have quite a bit going on during the spring and up until fall, but right about now we all put our cars up.
If you need a hand with something, lmk. I can't tune, but I can do alot of other stuff related to cars. If you wanna meet some guys in the indy area, this is the thread to do it in. cool, cool, ya i would like to meet up and Bs about cars lol im in Lincoln tech so you know i gotta love cars right? right now im tring to figure out this loud squeak i have..i think the alt pully is rubbing or bad idler pully berring...no tools for 4 more weeks lol so im kinda SOL

 

good luck with the issuse hope its the rocker! i got my lifters off ebay and 3 of them were bad!! so needless to say going the chep way can cost ya and what a pain in the ars

btw, 1 of the MOST COMMON things to sqeek under the hood is the tensioner/pulley... just fyi. I don't know how many of them things I've had to change on friends cars'
Just a little tip, Autozone will loan tools to you for no charge, and you can just fix the car in the parking lot,

 

there's going to a be a cruise at Purdue this weekend which is ~ 1 hr north of you in lafayette.

and yeah i will probably put mine away in the next few weeks. i usually keep it out till they salt. putting mine away basically just means going and getting it washed, filling the gas tank and adding stabil, putting it in back in the garage (where it sits most of the time anyway) disconnecting the battery and throwing the cover on it.

is the only way to lean a car out is to take it to a tuner or would a hp tuner work also jw? cuz if it would i dont wanna spend the coin untill i have too....

 

hp tuners is what most tuners use. yes using some sort of software (hp tuners, efi live..) is the only way to make air fuel changes. like i said i dont have a wideband right now but if you need a hand let me know. it is 100 bucks for the credits to access the VIN and make changes and we can work out the rest.
