does it vibrate if you push the clutch in? It's seems odd to bend a input shift, bent valves are common issue when you do that it could be flat spotted tires.

hard to believe u bent that. should vibrate in all gears at same rpms. think u should look elsewhere.

well i had it happen before after i broke the input shaft and had it replaced the 150+ runs were vibration free again. not sure what else it would be i dont feel it at slower speeds. deff drive train rear-end drive-shaft or trans.

does it do it when the clutch is in and the trans in neutral at speed? Have you looked at the tires they could be flat spotted.

Sorry to hear that Steve, Hope you figure it out soon man. Sounds like it could be a few issues. Also check the crank bolt, I have seen them back off and the balancer start to slip under hard acceleration and vibrations can get bad when that happens.
Odd it happened when you went from a 3-2 shift. I did that in my 02 6 Speed car and it started missing out for a few weeks, and then went away! Never did figure it out.

Good Luck!

Congrats on the new Trans Am Dragman. Hope everything works out for you man.
And yeah it's an aluminum center section. My car isn't that heavy and is only going to get lighter.
Right now it weighs in around 3320. So we'll see how light I get it by next year. And also, I don't leave terribly hard so I should be fine. If not, I'll go to a yukon thru-bolt aluminum center section setup. I know it will hold my power. Especially in an auto car with no transbrake!
