They had Ferd hiding a LS1 carb motor at the show using the Nascar distributor plate that uses a 5.0 foxbody distributor. The guy tig welded Cobra valve covers over the LS1 and cover and installed a '85 carb air cleaner on top to hid the funky carb intake.

I would've liked to see that in person. lol But at least he's going for the sleeper type look to pass it off.
JRob, Last weekend I was out. There was alot of people out. But I never made it out this weekend b/c it was so cold. I doubt anyone was out.
Also, with this being the beginning of the season, the cops are out HEAVY and already pulling people over for just about Anything. I've heard of a few people I know who got pulled over, they were givin tickets. But that happens every year, at the beginning of spring, then summer they have the 2 or 3 weeks where they enforce it (just to get tickets and try to make a statement that they won't be putting up with the ****) lol, and then at the end of the year as well. It happens all the time. Not to mention never leave your car at TRU and ride with friends... they will tow your $hit.
They was having the tow company come in every weekend about midnight and tow anything they could grab. They were pulling right up in front of your car and hooking them up and taking them. Whether you were by the car or not. They got 1 of my buddies car the same way. 
So, basically I'm just letting you know to be cool if you make it out there soon.

Yep and just heard last night they bought some undercover cars and will be patrolling 31 and the highways in the area as well. They said they are stepping up enforcement on the street racing this year! 
btw, I parted the Z out and sold everything. I currently drive the RS I have, while my Trans Am is under construction.
I'm hoping to have it done by the end of summer.... But who knows!

Whats the ETA on that T/A? Curious what you have in the works...
By the way I have an extra tail panel from my camaro still lying around if anyone local wants one for a berger. Ill be posting the ad up for sale next week probably.

I'm hoping sometime in August! But I'm a home owner now... So you never really know man! Every since I bought the house, theres 1 thing after another I keep doing to it.
But I'm planning on having it done sometime in August. But I'm thinking it may actually end up being september before I actually get it all done.
Regardless, I'll still be out cruising this summer and having fun with the guys'. I'll be at the track watching alot too. But as far as my TA goes... I don't honestly know when man. I'll keep you updated when it's getting close.

I saw a yellow ls1 firebird had somebody pulled over on 465 Saturday. That's ****** scary to think a car like ours is being driven by a pig ready to bust your ***.

You would think with all the handheld technology like iphone, wireless links, and various places offering free wireless. That with only 4 people you could take a section of I-465 or deserted wide roadway and get organized.

A couple weeks ago in plainfield coming home from work I saw a gold tahoe, windows blacked out and sittin on 24's that had someone pulled over. You wouldn't be able to tell it was a cop at all without all the lights flashin in the windows and the cop standing by it.
