He managed to get a 13.6 or there-abouts too! He was on street tires and couldn't hook for $hit with the 4.10's. Even coming out easy it spun.

We have some work to do Joe!

Thanks Man, you should've came out it was fun! I'll be there next Tuesday too! A friend of mine is coming out to take some pictures of me and some buddies. You should plan on going!

~And thanks guys for the compliments on the car. I worked my a$$ of on the thing and I think it paid off rather well actually! I was VERY happy with a 12.99 pass. Hell especially for it being stock other than SLP Lid, K&N Filter, and PS LT's and TD's... going through the stock stall and 2.73 gears....

ah yeah, that is much better than what i saw haha.

you say your engine was out of an 01 corvette? it looked like it had an ls1 intake on it? either way, good times out of a minimal mod car. it's amazing what can be had with simple mods. have you weighed that thing?

Thanks for the compliment man!
I was shocked it went that fast for the mods it has (Not many) ...
Yeah it has an LS1 intake on it... I got the (Longblock) engine off a buddy of mine for a good deal. He didn't have the LS6 Intake anymore though so I had to reuse mine! I had to reuse ALL of my accessories and etc...
But it is an 01 engine with the 241 heads and has 56K miles on it!

I just weighed the car on Monday at a local scrap yard and it weighed in at 3,340 lbs with me in it! (I'm sure that has something to do with the times as well)
I only weigh 120lbs so the car weighs 3,220lbs by itself...

BTW did I talk to you at the track yesterday? I don't know if I met you or not. I met quite a few people out there.
All of which seemed like pretty cool people!

Yes sir! The first time having this car at the track, made 4 passes:
14.8 @ 104
14.1 @ 103
13.7 @ 104
13.6 @ 105
I have never driven a 6-speed car at a track, so short times were horrible. I think the best was 2.1. There is def. room for improvement. Last night was the first time I have ever tried to launch this car, so hopefully I don't get any worse. If you are ever at the track and see a black ws6 running those times consistently (sp?) walk your *** over and help me get it going!!

Cory's lovin the spray now!! haha

Just wanted to chime in here, I was the guy in the 99 Hugger car out there last night. Nothing special to write about, 13.7@102, stock auto except Borla catback and lid.

Nice to meet a few of you guys. I'll be out there quite a bit as the year goes on. Hopefully getting much faster.

It will come to you Joe!
Just play with the rpms till the car hooks and of course doesn't bog off the line. If it starts to spin feather the gas till it hooks and let er rip! Thats how I always raced a stick car! Seemed to work for me in Muncie a few years ago.

Of course mine we're always 3rd gens with sticks in them...
Oh, and SLOW!

I'll be out next Tuesday, weather permitting!

I'll try not to. If they break, I'll just blame it on the guy who installed them

3,340, nice. what all have you removed? i pulled a few things off my car, but still never got below a 3600lb raceweight. i got the car down to 3,280 with open headers and everything i could find removed. nathan and i found out that in bone stock trim his 2000 b4c car weighed exactly 100lbs less than my z28. his 3,380 to my 3,480. apparently after putting everything back on/in it was still heavy. me weighing 220 didn't help matters. i did not greet you, but i did stand and look at the engine bay of your car for awhile haha. i can't believe we finally talked cory into using the bottle.

ah it's all good. i took the ta to the track for the first time opening day this year and went 13.2 on a 2.2 60' down from a 13.8 opening run hah. just takes time with a stick car. i've had the best luck launching on the stock clutch simply by dropping it from ~2,500 rpm. also letting air out of the tires helps. i ran ~18lb cold and it really helped the car get off the line, but for some reason at about the 330' it would break loose again. i am removing the lowering springs this weekend and putting stock springs on it, that will definatly help as the car will NOT transfer any weight as it sits.
