What if the guy has a 6 speed and at 30 mph has it in 4th gear?
It takes NO skill?
I think that guy would get smoked.... racing from 30mph in 4th gear!
OR -What if the guy is in an Auto and at certain speeds the car won't kick down to the passing gear b/c it's at the top of the lower gear... I will put it in the lower gear to get the most out of it! instead of kicking it down and having to wait to build my rpm back up!
So "YES" roll racing does take skill!
I guess your definition of skill and mine are very different. So basically what you just said was all it takes is common sense to roll race. I guess you could call that a skill...........lol

Roll racing takes no still if the car is built and you can put the tranny in any gear you want and hold it there regardless of RPM or speed.

Now, if you can't and have some power and street tires then it takes some effort.

I don't do anything from a roll, if you can't hook then you need to spend some money in that department.

Guess I was wrong huh! 12.99 isn't too shabby!

And to think the formula has parts on it now from a car that used to butt rape it pretty bad

Unlike pump gas, race gas hasn't really gone up in the last couple of years. I just bought 20 gallons of Renegade Race Fuel Pro-112 for $7.01 a gallon (6.55 + 7% IN Sales Tax).

Well when I bought my stuff at the same place (sunoco) before I pulled the motor a few months ago I paid $5.75 a gallon, $7.39 now...

This was like back in March, pretty big jump for just a few months.

By a better choice of words, Common sense would be a better way of putting it! Sorry for the confusion!
I guess if you don't know how to race, than you shouldn't be trying huh!

I only use 93 octane because I can't find 94 anymore.
I'd like to make a list of stations with 94 octane if anyone knows of any. I used to get it at the Sunoco's but they are gone.

That Sunoco on the Pike is brand new, and their prices are competitve. I was really glad to see that they had opened up again after several years hiatus.
Isn't there a Shell on 116th and I-69 that sells 94?

sub 11.75:1 cr engines don't need anything more than 93 octane, anyhow. unless you're o skoo, then you might see some gains.

12.5:1 and e85 f t w.

nathan could tune his car on 87 and still go 10s haha.

Sigh. I guess some parallel bipeds just lurk on this forum to argue with other members.
If he's got the money, let him spend it on what he wants.

not arguing. it's fact. haha his stock 10.2:1 compression engine obivously does not need 94 octane fuel. with all of the bitching about high gas prices, perhaps this is good news to some?

but if he wants to buy it, more power to him. no need for it, though.
