OK! Since there is alot of questions floating around about the yellow cobalt driver, I'll clear things up.

Ok there is a thread about a guy who was cruising around and ran into a guy in a Yellow Cobalt and the guy began to talk **** to the guy in an F-Body. The guy in the cobalt told the other guy in the f-body how his car would smoke this guys car and that he'd put money on it that he'd win. Nevertheless, The F-Body guy ended up running into the guy in the cobalt again and went to the guys house and the guy had just purchased a cobra. Anyways The guy in the cobra did not get killed in any wreck that I know of. What was said in a thread was that there was a guy in a cobra up north around the Fishers area (I believe) who was killed in a wreck. BUT it was not the guy in the Cobra/Cobalt.
Also I made a statement that the guy in the yellow cobalt damn near caused a wreck on interstate 65 1 night. BUT this is not the guy in the Yellow cobalt that we are talking about here. The guy who almost caused a wreck was SOMEONE ELSE! My Mistake, I was just saying & asking if it was the same guy.
So all of the speculation should stop here....

James

BTW that thread should be deleted, It was confusing as hell and has caused some **** to get stirred up.

That guy is a ****. ****** warped my rotors and got mud all down the side of my car dodging that tracker. I swear to god I thought the tracker was gonna barrel roll.

sum it up:

Alex doesn't like yellow cobalts with black wheels or 90 - 0 mph braking.

K so I have a little problem, ill find out this week how my job will be doing. If i dont get laid off this week im getting a 2500 load, to get my tranny fixed. K the problem i have is i could get the stage 3 or 4 set up from rpm transmissions for 2100, then get my tires. Or i could buy a tranny from a guy james knows for bout 700 get it put in for 200, get my tires and have about 1,000 left. And with the 1K i would get my front and back fender, and my door fixed someone hit a ran on me. My cars been down for about month and half and its killing me!!! so just some opinions would be great thxs guys....

Having the piece of mind of knowing your tranny is built solid is hard to pass up... But getting a few things done at once with $$ left over is nice also. I see why you have a problem.

i say do the trans, tires and get the body work done. Just be easy on this trans

Tough call, t/a. RPM only has a 90 day warranty, and you must surrender your current transmission or pay an extra $750. But they build performance transmissions for a living, and should know all the weak spots.
Is the local offer a rebuild of your current one, or another transmission altogether?
Also, what about a stall? You'll want one either way.

I say send the tranny to RPM & use the change to get some tires. Save as much back as you can until tax time rolls around (think refund) and try to bank enough to get your door and fenders fixed before summer. And most importantly, no powershifting into 5th gear

Thats a NO BRAINER. Build the tranny one time for 2100 or get one built for 700 and maybe have to build it again? Go with an RPM tranny. I can give you a list of people who run an RPM tranny a mile long. RPM builds GREAT transmissions and has GREAT customer service. Just wait till tax time to fix the body.

I highly recommend RPM Transmissions. They are all great guys, and fun to hang out with after your transmission is done.

I'd say go with the RPM Transmission as well if you'll have the money to do that. Hell I'd rather have the peace of mind that the trans. will hold together than have a car that looks pretty, but ends up sitting in a garage looking good in the long run. Remember just b/c it looks good, doesn't always mean it Runs good!
My .02! BUT if you decide to get the transmission off of him, LMK and I'll get it set up for you!

BTW JRob56, the transmission is $700 for just the trans. W/O a Bellhousing or any misc. parts.
OR $1100 for a complete swap. T56 with clutch, master & slave, flywheel, trans., and shifter, and etc... The whole swap setup!
