just go to traffic school and be done with it. less drama in your life the easier. it would be a different case in my opinion if you hadn't been speeding.

u were speeding, it doesnt matter if it was 30 over or 5 over, u said no more than 75 mph, thats still 20 over. there are speed limits for a reason, stop bitching. these threads are so stupid, (i broke the law, how can i get out of it without blaming myself?)

Take it easy bro, he's not bitching, he's asking for advice since the officer didn't let him see the radar. Pass these threads up if you don't like them . . it says "ticket" in the topic title

As long as I've ever known, if you request to see the radar they have to show you. My brother-in-law had 2 tickets dropped because they wouldn't let him see the radar.

Same applies in most states. A ticket is an accusatory statement and you have to go to court to prove the cop wrong. He doesn't have to show you anything, only write the ticket and let the judge decide who is right.

I called the Illinois State Police and asked them and they said that they don't have to let me see it. I know that in Cook County they have to let you see it if you ask to see it. I was pulled over in Will County though.

In almost any state, they do NOT have to show you regardless of what people think.
