Obx Headers
Obx Headers I'm in the process of buying these OBX stainless steel headers, I've heard a lot of good things about them so does anyone have these headers on their car and if so how was the installation as well as quality? Please let me know asap, I will be purchasing them on Tuesday. J
Are these the Ebay headers? Where did you get them from and did you get a y pipe. Also dont forget your going to need O2 extensions I would get the 24inch ones and youwill also need either o2 sims for the rear or get them tuned out.
Yes these are the headers on ebay and it comes with its own y-pipe with resonators. The Y-pipe looks a little scary to me if you have a chance take a look at them item #

I love mine with a Hooker catback.Installed myself with jackstands and went great.They are different in that they have a swivel joint after the resonator which gives more adjustment for angle for a better fit.Quality seems great.
HOWEVER,I knew I was taking a chance buying these as there probably is no one to stand behind them.Also you may or may not get the round gaskets that you need for the install and will have to buy locally. Here is a LONG thred of many guys who have installed them and the main pitfall seems to be the missing gasket.They include a Walker part number you can get local.

I have the XS Stainless on mine, which were sold by SSAutoChrome back in the day. They came with on my car back when I bought it in '06, but I have never had a problem. The car makes great power and is fast. No complaints.

I did an install with the obx LTs/cats, and ory. They were a very bad fit. We even had to dent them for the stearing shaft. And six of the 8 plug wires lay on the tubes. These went on an 01 SS. Other than that they went right up. I my self installed hookers on my 02 SS and had no problem with fitment at all. I would look into what your buying. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. Hope yours fit better on your application.
Headers were not a bad fit but but had to ding the drivers side header because the steering shaft was going to hit the pipe, also the spark plug wires 4 out of the 8

x2 on the MSD's. Almost a must when doing headers. Hit up one of the sponsers, like Speed Inc, and pic up a set...
Hopefully you changed out the spark plugs when you had the headers off.
