Default Lets get it on!!! IMSM Racing Series in 2008

Well race fans the 2008 season is upon us so strap down and get those hot rods ready to race because IMSM is coming out strong in 2008. We are proud to announce that CMJ Performance www.cmjperformance.com has resigned with IMSM as the official 2008 Series Sponsor. "Street, Show , or Race the only limit is your imagination. We are your source for anything you need!!!!!! Custom Car builds, Parts and upgrades, Kit Cars, Chassis Design and Building, Race Car Set-up, Pro Street Builds, and so much more. Take a look around our website and let us know what we can do for you." With more sponsors, more racers and more support from everyone across the board IMSM is hitting the 2008 season with a bang!

April 20 at Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois www.byrondragway.com will mark our opening day for 2008. For hotel and traveling information please visit Byron Dragways website. Expect to see a lot of 2007 racers stepping it up in 2008. After this years long and brutal winter season every racer is coming out of the woodwork and is ready for the season to begin. A lot of updates have been made, new cars purchased, switching from nitrous setups to turbo combos and more. Some racers have decided to keep all of this new information to themselves and will unveil their new high horsepower making combinations, new look and chassis improvements at race number one.

Former 2007 Street heat Champion Shane Halleman is making the move to R&S Motorsports www.r-smotorsports.com Pro Avenger in 2008. Will he repeat in 2008 after testing the waters in Street Avenger at the finals in 2007 and eventually taking home the win? Or will returning racers such as 2007 runner-up Amy Sherwin, Darrin Carter of Chicago, IL and others take him down. Will Toni Falino go for three consecutive championships in the new Olson's Performance www.olsonsperformance.com Street Fighter? Who has the courage to take her down in 2008? Jerry "The Hammer" Mortimer has proven he is a force to be recon with in Legend Racing www.legendracingent.com Pro Dominator. Will the "Hammer" come out on top in 2008 or will he be taken down by some of Legend Racing Pro Dominators up-in-coming pro racers? Keep an eye on this class in 2008 as racers such as Phil Delaney of Rage Wraps, Al Kruse from Algonquin IL in his '96 Mustang GT, Alex Kucia with the "Big Green Monster" and more come after "The Hammer" with a vengeance. In DynotuneMP's www.dynotunemp.com Street Heat you will see some heavy action with over 20 registered racers in 2008. With the former 2007 Champion moving up to a newer class the you will see everyone fighting for that chance to be crowned Champion in 2008. What is to become of the 2007 Street Intimidator Champion Danny Russo? Will he repeat in 2008 with Sutton HP www.suttonhp.com coming on board as the new class sponsor? Damon Steinke of Sun Prairie, WI in his '98 Mustang GT has been talking up a storm on how he will be crowned champion in 2008 or will there be someone else crowned Sutton HP Street Intimidator Champion in 2008!

Now for the heavy hitters, the new 2008 P.E.R. Race Engines www.per-race-engines.com Pro X-Treme! In 2008 former class Pro Eliminator will merge with the racers in P.E.R. Pro X-Treme. If you want to see big block vs. small block action, nitrous powered, blown horsepower, turbocharged and supercharged action then watch out race fans as these racers will blow you out of your seats. In 2008 Rocket Ron took home the championship, but with new racers coming on board and the payouts increasing you will be sure to see many new faces such as Rich Wilhelm in is Boss 429 powered notch back Mustang, Randy Bonds in his two toned Mustang GT, NMCA Extreme Street Racer Tony Orts in his '68 Firebird and more come after the "Rocket" in 2008. This class is not for the weak of heart. All makes and models are welcome to if you want to see the badest of the bad, the rawest of the raw and the most X-Treme of what IMSM has to offer then sit back, strap in and let P.E.R. Pro X-Treme blow you away.

Other new additions to the series is the 2008 Race News Illustrated , the official online free magazine of the IMSM Racing Series. For class information, sponsor information, race updates, photos, videos, racer interviews and more please visit www.racenewsillustrated.com. This is a totally free online magazine put on by the races of this great series. As the season progresses you will find all of the action off the track happening on this site and on the message boards.
