moving to chicago.

i'll be living in chicago for the next 6 months starting next week due to my basic training and A-school. i'd like to already have a few folks to hang out with once i'm there. lol

by looking at googlemaps.com it looks like northern coastal chicago.

i think the naval base is like 20 minutes north of chicago.

thanks bro.... yea i've been to chicago once back in 99. and i lived in warsaw, indiana for a year. if i can tolerate another midwestern winter i'll be ok. lol

Yeah and good luck with that... I will tell you from first hand experience that unless your school is over so long, you wont be able to bring your ride with you.. Plus, dont expect to get out too much till your a month into your A school... Thats when the liberty starts to pick up... If it is anything like it used to be, for the first few weeks of A school you wont even be able to wear civilian clothes off base.... I did my basic and A school, and C school up at NATTC Great lakes. Good for me, since I was close to my friends and family.... Congrats on your choice to serve.. What A school did you opt for?
