that 10 bolt will be fine. i went 1.60 on mine like 250 times over the course of 20,000 miles haha. don't let it wheel hop and do a decent burnout.

Yeah you should be fine, Just don't let it wheel hop like s346k said.... that kills the 10 bolt faster than anything, other than some sticky tires....
Good Luck Man! Hope you get some good times at the track!

Well... the best I could muster was a 13.2 @ 104 mph. Didn't have any wheel hop but I still spun way too much in 1st. My 60ft are kind of shitty but then again tonight was my second time ever at the track (racing). So with some practice and whatnot I'm sure I will get better.

I beat a goat (thinking 05+ but can't be 100% sure), and got spanked by an LS1 RX7. That car was pretty sick... My two buddies are both stock and they were doing 14.5 ish around 99 mph so that takes the sting away from not hitting 12s.

I'm also kinda skeptical of all these people on here who claim a lid and DRs got them into high 12's because the past two weeks I have seen a good amount of "modded" LS1s (including myself) and the high 12's just aren't happening... So either these folks are either A) Professional drivers B) On amazingly prepped tracks or C) Full of ****.

My teachers always told me when in doubt, pick C, and I'm leaning more towards that reasoning.

Otherwise else, fun night at the track. Hopefully before the summer is out we can get a good amount of people up there and get some runs in.

I was disappointed with my times tonight. I was hoping to atleast break into 13s but my best was 14.0xx. It was my first time to run it at a track though, my reaction time wasn't so good.

you wanna know something interesting.. There once was an LT1 Formula I knew/know, who tried its hardest to break into the 13's.. we did alot of bolt ons, changed rear end gears and everything and still couldnt break a 14.00.. then we started tuning the computer.. It took alot of time tuning, but you know what after we got the tune done, car went out and first pass clicked off a 13.6 and we changed nothing on the cars hardware, only software...

and on my car i went from running 12.8's in cool air to running 12.3 in hot humid air by tuning the computer..

hit up www.prodynotech.com and call priscilla and tell her Jeff with the Maroon camaro told you to call..

YEP YEP that is true....
I went from a 14.008 to a 13.6 with a tune!
It helps when the car runs like it's supposed to.
Thanks Jeff!

Hey Jeff, remember when I went from a best of 14.008 with 2.73's to the best of a 14.25 with 3.42's!
That was all due to traction I'm sure!
It really started making me mad, b/c everytime I added something to the car it just lost ET. Instead of going faster.....

Check out the progress of the new camaro..... LMK what ya think!

there are a ton of factors that will all have a huge effect on the outcome of your run. fwiw my z28 with a 4k stall and lid on the stock tune went 8.0 @ 80 bouncing the rev limiter in 2nd for the last 100' or so of the track (1/8 mile). spinning is spinning...no debating that. but 104 mph with long tubes? something is up with that trap. the z28 i had with almost the exact same mods, except i had a stock tb, 4k stall and 373s...went 12.2 all night long on tuesday nights. on the stock tune the car went 12.3 @ 108. the car started @ 12.9 and after a couple passes that night the best i got it to was 12.40 - just practice. how much air was in the tires? what tires and size? bring it out next week, i plan on being there with the ta. maybe i can help you out, i know a thing or 2 on getting a car to launch...with regard to the trap speed - that seems like a tuning issue.

Well congrats to you anyways.....
I know how you feel. Every time I went to the track I got dissapointed. I was going EVERY week just trying to get into the 13's and finally after getting the car tuned in correctly it happenend. And now the thing runs 13.6 very consistently. There are alot of different factors that have to be met to run good times. Driving and traction are 2 of the most important factors to weigh in. If you can get the thing to plant, You will get Very nice times. I don't see why there would be any problem watching your car go 12.xx.
Get that thing to hook and you'll love it!
Maybe have someone look at the tune as well. Could be running too lean or even too rich and fouling some plugs at idle.
My car would load up at an idle and then pick up at about the 600' mark. It would bog off the line and then slowly come alive on it's way down the track!

Good Luck Man....

LOL jeff is now rocking a 500 hp+ lincon or some **** . Software lol you were asking me to develop a **** site for you. Is ORP hard to hook on or something? I've never even been down the 1/4 in any car, maybe when I get more suspension crap and a good rear and tires I'll go down it, don't want to embarass myself with bogging it and managing a good ol 15 sec run.
