Still considering it, I know it looks funny, but I didnt know shouold I buyu wheels then lower the car around them, or lower then select the size of wheel?
Two questions about ZR1: 1: in of the pics. there was a yellow stalk coming off of the steering column. WTF?
2: Are those flush mount hood pins in the carbon fiber? I want some.

2. There are no hood pins? Are you talking about the picture with the reflection of a clock in it???
I have flush mount hood pins on my car; if you want some, go get them, though I'm not sure why you'd use them when you have a perfectly good hood latch.

1. It's a shipping cover on the control stalk. Look more closely.

2:HA HA HA LMAO I see it now!! and the Chevy banner! I was staring to closely and overcomplicating things.
Manufacture recommends hoods pins for my hood obviously all of them do. I got the car up to 80mph and didn't see a single shake or lift or anything, but a buddy of mine down in Anderson was telln me that last summer there had been 6 C.F. hoods shredded on the side of the Highway. ithink I'll be fine but I'm a little worried to say the least.
I was dreaming up some kind of safdety chain or tether or something to prevent this but haven't quite got there.

Damn.. ...
So which first wheels or suspension? neither make it faster unless I get crazy nasa designed ultr lite spacecraft wheels.

I would like to ride in some of your guy's cars that are or will be lowered in the spring. Maybe it was just all the rice I was riding in at the time that turned me off to lowering. I suppose as long as I could do it and keep plenty of tire wall then that should absorb most everything.
Slower: What is the "idle right" or "idle certified" sticker I'm seeing on your trucks? Just emissions stuff?

If it's wheels vs. lower, I'd lower it. The stock wheels on your car aren't bad looking, if the stance is right.
A cam and a tune wouldn't be a bad plan either.
You're welcome to ride in the BMW anytime. It's lowered, and rides just like stock. Just get good dampers and springs and you'll be fine. The Mazda is a bad example as it is on all poly/delrin suspension with race springs and hard dampers, so even at stock ride height it would be harsh.

Lowering a car doesn't help weight transfer much, but the right shock/spring package helps minimize it.
I'm a street car guy, so I'd rather trade some looking good for some going fast, as long as it's only a little of the going fast.
I got the pump wired up tonight (need a syphon to put the fuel back in the new tank though). I had some 8 gauge power wire sitting around, so I used that (with glue filled heat shrink of course). I figure 8 gauge power and ground should be enough to feed the pump. And an amp, if I want to mount a sub to my gas tank. You know they'd rock that **** down in Columbia City with the Triads.
