So, are there just ricers hanging out? Or are there actual fast cars out?

It's Fort Wayne. All we have are ricers

There was a sweet "shop built" Ford Focus with over $15k in the motor out last night that can hand everyone in Fort Wayne their ***. It's running 40psi on pump gas and was a 2.0 that's been stroked to a 2.0 and is making as much as 300whp, but he won't race anyone yet. I wish I could say I was making this up. Dude had a pretty sweet goatee and a leather jacket, so you know he's legit

You sure all your injectors/coils are firing? That sounds to me like it may be running on one bank only. Both manifolds hot? Does it respond to throttle input? What mods to the engine?

Answer that and I might be able to give you some advice.
I was able to scan the car today.
2 codes.
The o2 sensor I don't have those hooked up) & p1125 which is the accelerator pedal position system. That explains why there is no throttle response. That pedal is new (for a 2006 monte carlo) new tac module and new wiring harness. So, I do not know what the problem is there???

The other thing is I felt the headers & 2 pistons are not firing. The one on the passenger side front of the car & the 2nd from the front on the driver side. So, I am guesing this could be from several possibilities: bad coils, spark plug, plug wires, wiring to ECM, or bad injectors. Any other possibilities? Where do I start testing this stuff?

Are there any shops here in the Fort or surrounding area where I can take my car for help?

Two cylinders not firing... either coils or computer. Are the injectors getting fuel and or spraying?? JPH @ Hires can test your plug wires for you. Good luck with it.

Easy to test.

Swap plug wires with a cylinder that is firing. No change? Wires are good. Next try coils. Still no change? Try injectors. Still no change? You have a wiring issue.

99.99999% chance it's not the PCM. The way these PCMs are designed, they either work perfectly, or not at all. It's also very unlikely that you have a bad injector, though one could be clogged. Coils do fail, though it's not particularly common. Wiring issues are a common issue though.

As far as the pedal, I don't have much experience with them. Sorry.

Hope that helps,

Blake

Default Muncie track Rental Date June 1st

Hey guys I just wanted to inform you that Mic Bodigan and several other local racers will be renting the track at Muncie Dragway on June 1st from 10am-4pm. The cost right now is around $50 a car, but if he can get 20 or more cars the cost will go down to $35 a car. If anyone is interested contact him @438-6319.

Thanks, Joe

After the new clutch is broken in, I will want to make a trip to Muncie. Don't know if I will make it in time for June 1st though.

Ok, testing results for today:
1. Switched plug wires. Switched 1 that 1 knew was firing to the 1 that was cold. No change.
2. switched coil pack. same thing, switched for 1 that was firing. No change.
3. checked spark. good spark.
so, at this point I pulled the plugs from the 2 that were not firing. They were dry. I thought maybe the injectors were bad.

4. put a noid light on the 2 bad ones. They onyl lit up 3-4 times. Put the noid light on 2 good ones & they were kept lighting up regular.

Why would the injectors pulse just a few times?

ohm out your injectors, the pcm will quit grounding the circuit if the injector(s) are shorted, to help preserve the injector drivers. Let us know what u find
