Paying sales tax when you trade straight up for a car? anybody know?

I have bought and sold a handful of cars. And if you go to the currency exchange they have a chart. The taxes are not based on the sale of the car there. It's based on the year of the car. Pending on the year of the car, there is a set tax amount.

Phil its way to far to drive. Greenville, NC is like 950 miles from here each way, even meeting halfway would suck ***. We're looking into shipping and he has a buddy that might trailer his up here and bring mine back to him for a decent price, etc.

been there done that all you will be charged for is the title fee and if they have other b/s taxes those to.dont let them charge you sales tax..
