i got back from BAF about 2 months ago...and it wasnt that bad, just a whole lot of people. the base is completely run by the Army now. there are something like 13000 Army folks there at any given time. they are starting to tear down a lot of the b huts, and putting in RLBs. the RLBs (or Really Large Buildings) are basically tractor trailors with windows. Diseny is still a complete mess, and packed with people. and you still have the jingle trucks that fly down the road and almost hit most people that are walking across the road. the good thing is that they are now laying down new side walks on each side of the road that are about 8 feet wide. and they are getting rid of the chain link perimeter fence, and replacing that with T Walls. i still had a lot of fun of there, and would go back. but right now i am working a getting an out of cycle deployment to Iraq.
