Well, i just got a nice little $2300 deposit into my account...

Anyone else? Its been 5 weeks since school started, they said it was a 4-6 week wait from the first day of school. Pretty much right on the money!

I haven't gotten anything yet. I applied for the emergency check, maybe I will see that this week. It was AUG 15 when I initially applied.
This is the 3rd Semester I have used my VA benefits and it has been a fight every time to get them to pay.

Im very interested in this.
I am still enlisted, but have 8 months till my ETS date.

From my understanding, i have to apply for the new GI bill, while im still in, correct?

Im really wanting to attend WyoTech, Is there anything that would prevent me from attending a tech school?

They pay the school, and give you single e5 BAH, thats nuts!!

Applied Sept. 11th, got an approval letter from VA, then got denied by NPC. ********, everyone tells you to use all these great benefits, then you try and it's three miles of bs and loopholes. After 10 years I'm on med hold awaiting my discharge date for med-ret. and they say I/ my wife can't use it until after I'm retired, when my status changes. Oh well.

If you are active you get it paid while you are on duty. Get the service to pay for it while you are still in. No need to use your benefits.

When your school costs 800/credit hr you do need to use your gi bill benefit because army TA only covers up to 250/credit hr.

I used my gi bill for my undergrad and now im using it for my masters. It takes roughly 2 months to get rolling after initial enrollment but once you have the acct setup all you have to do is the monthly verification and the money is in the bank like 4 days later.

Yea thats true. However, must service bases arent near a GOOD 4 year school. If it was me I would use TA to get my basics done at a good community college and not waste the money.
