bah cuts really aren't a big deal if you look at the huge drop in the housing market.

I know I'm an old fart compared to most of you, but I remember when I moved to San Diego as an E5, I got just over 600 a month, 12 years later, E5 in SD is 1998. Damn, thats not bad. Now, as an E8 I barely see 2300, I think the Military has done well in helping with cost of living for the junior personel. I know a E7 was getting double of what I was back then.

wow....mine went up $30. $1010 w/dependents for a country *** zip code in alabama aint too bad

LOL so I have heard, my options were limited though and it was pretty much the best thing I could get.

**** it could be worse, I'd rather be in Lemoore anyday than Va, which is just my opinion. There is a lot you can do just a short drive from there. I went snow boarding 2-3 times a month from Lemoore. It's all about who you hang out with and what you do with your time! Gl, sorry off topic!

Alright well heres a question, im enlisted as an E3 with 1(2nd on the way) dependant(s) and ive got to go off to AIT in Huachuca for 46 weeks but my house is in the valley, are my BAH rates based off of my address or off of Huachuca? All my extra money is going for my LS2 swap and i wanna know how long its gonna take to finish my car lol Any info????

If your leaving your dependents while your away at training you BAH will stay where they are. If you taking them with, then it will be where you are going.
