If you anybody is in the Eastern North Carolina area we will be goin to the track friday night for Friday night Street Legal Drags. Should be a good turn out. gates open at 830 racing starts at 9.

I believe they enforce helmets if you're 13.99 or faster in the 1/4 according to IHRA rules.

 

Well guys turns out i won't be able to make it this friday but hopefully i can make it next weekend. Should be a nice turn-out tho.

I've only been to Coastal Plains' Sunday test and tune and it wasn't busy at all that day, which is good for me. I can make a pass whenever I want without waiting in line. How is the Friday night event usually?

 

I'll be there. I'm betting it will be super busy this weekend, since it is the first friday night event of the year, and it'll be the first nice weather day of the year.

I'll be there regardless though, because it's my last opportunity to race before a long det.

Actually, I believe ALL drivers are required to wear helmets, regardless of ET's.

I have seen Marines on the track wearing thier kevlars though, and the track officials allow it. It looks ridiculous, but I guess it works.

This was only my 2nd time visiting Coastal Plains. It was packed. I could only get 3 runs in and I got there at 6pm. Ran a new best of 12.15 though.

I got 6 runs in, and I never went to the pits once. I was hotlapping the entire night, from 630pm to 1030pm. The staging lanes were sllloww.

It was a great turn out friday night. I wish I would have brought my car out but I decided not to because I was supposed to be trading it the next day and didn't want to break anything... The next time i will prolly be out is in Nov tho as I will be deployin here shortly.

Too bad the cruise is the 17th supposed to go outta town that weekend, we will see though man. I'll talk to the guys I work with see if they're down. If your at the track Friday night I should be there....
