Ive been reading that you only need 20 semester hours, but the recruiter said i need a minimum of 25 to get e2. I cant find anything anywhere on what the recruiter said. Was he BSing me?

yup. Youre right, thats exactly what I read, but why is the recruiter telling me different?

 

my friend who just enlisted had like 48 credit hours. he graduated as an E-3

 

i had no credit hours and graduated as an e1, then i graduated tech school as an e3 with a backdated rank status to basic grad.

there is no real advantage to those credits unless you're going Army, then you can get Specialist right away(if you have a degree).
