this happened in 1998. they resolved it pretty quick. instead of recieveing a paycheck on the 1st and 15th we received the entire months check on the 15th.

 

Exactly if we only took care of ourselves in the first place. I have pretty much stopped paying attention to the Japan thing but, aren't they like "hey we don't want none of your help?" Just getting tired of hearing about the same **** just told at a different angle that has been going on for the past week.

 

Active duty military can't sue the GOV no matter what.

If we don't get paid we still have to show up, if you don't show you are AWOL or missing movement. You will be NJP'd at the least I'm sure.

My CO told me that we may only get 1 weeks pay on the 15th of april, IF the shutdown occurs.

Do yourselves a favor and show up for muster, don't let your anger get the best of you. This situation blows and we just gotta roll with it.

Also I think that its kind of retarded that congress and welfare recipients still get their checks........: mad:

I'm really hoping they come up with something soon. My command just brought out page 13's to make sure we know we have to be there even if we don't get paid. I have enough saved to last a month without pay but I don't really want to cut into that yet. Haven't seen if they plan to backpay or not if it happens.

agreed we will get back paid at least thats the plan, technically the only part of our pay that is guaranteed is basic pay though.....

my CO said today that Navy Federal will get us the money as of this week, and that we will get back pay for however long the gov't is closed

 

Well they reached a deal. Disaster averted.
