They said they are going to pass a continuing resolution that will only last for a few more days but they have a long term bill ready to go. It's just gonna take them a couple days before they can get a vote on it. So this resolution will keep everything going until they get the bill passed this week.

Lol. Remember folks, selfless service...and what is that claptrap they throw out every time things are about to change and ppl are about to get shafted...oh yeah. "Be flexible"
It still sticks in my mind that the senate and the president (both of the same party) refused to entertain the notion of a bill ensuring our continued pay. If you think about it...the man ultimately giving our orders (which do not stop) not wishing to ensure our continued pay. Ironic, a black man okay with the notion of forcing someone to work without pay.

Actually the republicans, wrote a lot of earmarks into the bill that they knew the Dems wouldn't go for in order to shift shutdown blame to the Dems....
PS Obama can only veto a bill nothing else...
The President is part of the executive branch ie military, foreign policy, etc etc
He has nothing to do with writing laws, bugdets, etc
Also lets not make potentially racist remarks.
