Maybe some of my Uncles might have served in VN with you, my father served in WWII, Navy Germany and Japan AO. He was 22yo then and knocked the boots to make me when he was 50y/o, hope I can follow in those footsteps! Talk about a Generation Gap, theres no better way to bring us all together than Chevrolets......anyone for Apple pie and a Baseball game when I get back from Afghan around mid-April.

Not quite that old...I'm 55...can't stop it unless I die. There were WW 2 vets in VN but I was 20 when I went there in '70. I've never been married...kind of an oooooollllldddd kid-motorhead.
Yeah,Chevrolets are cool...my cousin had a 63 Impala SS ,327, 4-speed. That was first exposure to hp cars.
Take care and be wary of those natives!

All the more impressive. I know a lot of guys that get stuck at E-5 because the points just won't drop. It's just sitting at 798.

Meteorologist
21 years active duty as of this June
Been in lots of places and on lots of ships.
Both my major tech schools were at Chanute AFB - small world! Was there as a student in 84, instructor from 87-90, and student again in 90/early 91
Currently at COMOPTEVFOR in Norfolk as an Operational Test Director for 3 WMD programs
Transfer next month the Naval Atlantic Meteorology and Oceanography Center, also here in Norfolk. That will be my last tour. I plan to retire in Oct 06 unless I promote (and maybe even if I do)

God Bless those guys and gals currently serving in harm's way.

How long does it take for them to process the damn application? It's up to like $36000 now this year. That's a pretty substantial chunk of change. I just applied for it about 2 weeks ago. How long does it usually take for those who have it?
