Not sure but I think by MOS you mean job. If it is I am a Boatswains Mate First Class.

Actually the Formula is gone as of a week ago. I traded it for the WS6 with everything already done and 16,000 miles.

Military Occupational Specialty

Okay, what year model was the Formula, and the WS6 you have now?

BTW, take some PICs of the WS6, then change your SIG PIC.

0311 If that is truly your Marine Corps calling, then all I can say is ... OORAH!

I was active duty USMC from 1980-1988 ( with broken time between 1984-1985). My Primary MOS was 6334 & Secondary MOS 6314, F-4 Phantom electrician & com/nav technician, both "O" level.

As of 9/25/03, accepted direct commission as 1LT USAR Nurse Corps. My Primary AOC (same as MOS) is 66E & Secondary AOC is 66H, with Duty AOC 66H8A, which is OR RN, Med Surg RN, and Critical Care RN, in that order.

Well Semper Fi to a Marine.

I can't wait until September, and until I get my eagle, globe and anchor. I have been exerting myself almost to the point of over-exertion these past few months getting ready for the poundings I will endure (not only from boot camp, but from infantry training as well). I am psyched.

dj, I was in the same frame of mind as you currently are before I joined in '95. Running, pullups, situps, you name it, I probably did it for at least 6 months prior to boot camp. After stepping foot off the bus onto MCRD San Diego, the mental beatings began. Your physical condition will certainly help you, but it's virtually impossible to prepare for 'getting bent' for an hour on the quarter deck at 0200, or pounding water from a canteen until the entire platoon pukes. SOI (school of infantry) was cool too. I remember having to eat entire cans of copenhagen, umpteen humps up Old Smokey, all out fist fights in the squad bay w/ instructors watching, oh, and the seemingly endless boots and utes runs on hard pack. Kick *** memories. All I can recommend is that you always expect the unexpected, take care of your feet, and don't touch anything once you step out of the gas chamber.

Yuuuuuut!
