I was a 31C with Morris code cross trained as a K. I was in Gordon in 85 and 88. Did basic at "Tank Hill" before they tore down the old WWII baracks. Did my AIT at Sims on Gordon. I went to alabama then Korea before coming back in 88 for Morse code. While in Korea I ran the MARS station at Camp Casey while Part of 122Sig. I hated being in Korea but being in a true Sig made it all worth while!
I spent my last 18 months active at fort bliss as the Cav S3 Commo NCOIC among other things

In 89 I went home and swapped to 88m and was part of 737th trans. Driving Tankers. They immediately made me Commo NCOIC and Dispatch NCOIC. Seemed no matter how hard I tried to get away I always found a radio

I remember when SINGAR(sp) was just a test set they were tring

I just signed up and am 25S, and I leave for Jackson on 0207. After that is Gordon for 17 weeks.

63RD SIG BN is now back at Fort Gordon. Damn that was one long field problem. LOL
