NA$TY-TA? Are you still in VA Beach? They test you there or are you safe? I was at Langley for 10yrs and never got sniffed but I don't know what it is like now.

Yea, hes still in Va Beach...

and im in Norfolk, and as long as the state your car is registered in doesnt require inspection/smog, youre fine here.

So if my car is registered in VA then smog testing is required or is by county etc. I was there 10 yrs and never was smog tested just visual and barely that. Only reason my car will be registered there is I plan on retiring and you know how that goes you'll have to be a registered resident of that state. NC is looking really good right now.

Thanks 99FormulaM6

yep. if you live in VA and your car is registered in VA as well, then you have to do state inspections. But if you keep it registered somewhere else that doesnt require inspections...youre good

Yup cali sucks. i already had base decals before i got my hawaii plates. i'll probably get in trouble if i get pulled over on base since my cali plates were registered and not my hawaii ones.

I had to do a smog on the Camaro to get a base pass here in San Diego, the car is registered in Wisconsin in an area where we do no inspections of any kind.

Yeah it's gay but at least I only have to do smog inspections whenever my base pass expires, and if I can't pass smog in the future to get a base pass it's not a big deal since I only drive it on the weekends anyway and I never go anywhere near the base.
