Looks like in 6 months I am heade to Qtown for. If anyone can get me inside scoop on base housing and the best places to live outside of "The Triangle" it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a retired Marine working on Quantico. Stafford's a good place to live (just south of the base), but can be expensive depending on what kind of place you're looking for. If you don't mind a short drive, the Fredericksburg area is pretty nice too and more reasonably priced. I have a home in the Massaponax area, which is just a little south of Fredericksburg.

Base housing on Quantico is getting revamped. They've already replaced many of the homes and are still in the process of completely replacing others. They look very nice.
