well, with state farm, i pay $650 semi-annual, and thats with 2 tickets on record. with usaa, the quote they gave me online was $750, and thats with the $50 initial online discount. granted, the state farm rate was under my parens' discount, so i got their old-people discount. but usaa had great customer service - much better/friendlier than ive dealt with other companies. so im thinkin ill go with them - if nothing else, just for their service.

Been with USAA since 98 and have Auto, and Homeowners ins. through them, had a couple of auto loans, a $25,000 signature loan(no collateral) at 1.99 percent and checking and savings. Never filed any kind of claim but definitely love them for thier customer service. Love getting reimbursed for ATM fees and debit card fees, and now depositing checks at home with the check money available instantly.

I have had them for car and renters insurance since 01, and then home insurance since 04, and then just switched to primary banking with them checking and savings last year. Every time I have a problem it is taken care of immediately. Their customer service is unbeatable.

Never had to file a claim, but I imagine it would be painless. They are always looking to better their service as well, I will be a USAA member for life.

i got my credit card throught them, not too bad of interest for it. Auto insurance when I was gettin quotes they wanted around 500 a month. Forget that. But I've heard that they are fairly cheap on insurance for other people, just not me. Oh and when I got the quote at the time my driving record was clean so that wouldnt have been the reason it was so high. I still have state farm (carried over from the mainland) and its cheaper here then it was back home. Im payin 115 a month full coverage plus life insurance.

I bank with USAA, have a credit card, and a refinanced auto loan through them. Awesome one-stop financial "center" with friendly, expedient customer service. Also very forgiving, should you make a few (or in my case, quite a few) transaction mistakes.

Unfortunately, Geico gave me the lowest insurance quotes so I went with them. I do hope that USAA takes it easier on me when my current policy is up, so I can make the switch.

I was quoted $450 semi anually for a 2002 SS.

My wifes car will be $290(2001 Corolla)

Sounds pretty cheap to me, but what is the coverage like? She had it when her dad was still enlisted, and she never had a problem...

The coverage is awesome simply. You arent a customer with them you truely are a member. You can call and ask about anything and they will give you the answer, if the person you talk to doesnt know it then they will find out the answer and call you back.

Seriously get the coverage and you will see why we all like them.

I switched to USAA insurance while I was in England(95-99). When I first got there, the only insurance an enlisted member could get was Gieco or local insurance. As soon as they allowed enlisted to join, I did and save over $1,000 every 6 months...and the other insurance had the ***** to ask why I didn't give them a chance to match the quote...lol!

As far as claims, I totaled out my 04 GTO (bridge got in the way!) and had them come out to do the claim. I had already removed the obvious stuff (like N2O) but didn't remove anything else I had done to it. The adjuster immediately noticed my rims and asked what I paid for them...and gave me credit for them. When he was looking over my car, he asked if they came with Dart heads. I told him no figuring I was screwed. He asked how much I had in my heads/cam setup and added it to the value! He then asked what else I had done to it. I listed clutch/flywheel which he listed as transmission rebuild and gears which he listed as rear end rebuild. When he was finished, the value of my car with 25,000 miles on it was within $500 what I paid new for it! I was so impressed, I asked the adjuster if he would like to go to a steak dinner or have a beer with me! I bought the car back from them and now everything except the gears are in my TA.

I won't even shop around for cheaper rates. They have ALWAYS treated me extremely well and I feel their rates are cheap enough for me not to waste any of my time to try to beat by a couple of bucks. I am another USAA member for life!

Galen

I forgot to add that they even called me a couple of days later to tell me of every 04 GTO for sale within a 100 mile radius to help me find another car, but by this time I had already found my TA with a rod knocking and had made a hell of a deal to buy this broken car from a local credit union.

Never had a bad expeirence, i was late for a payment on insurance or something stupid due to military function or something and they took of the late fee or charge. They really work with you and the wait to talk to a person can't be beat. Bank of America prob stole few thousand from me for the first 4 years i was in using them. USAA has saved me a lot of head aches and $$. don't wait call them asap as in today.

ussa ???. plus, as you get promoted, your rates go down a little. here's my story. once i called progressive just to see if they really give you quotes for other companies. the lady asked me who i had insurance with and i said usaa. she said"sir, we couldnt touch their rates with a 10 foot pole." she said i'd be crazy to leave usaa for any other company. mind you, this is the lady that worked for progressive. i havent even ever thought about leaving since then. and the yearly dividend checks are cool, too.

Only prob i have had with USAA is motorcycle ins. they were are over 700$ more a year than anyone else. If buying/selling a house uses there home buying program that hookes you up with a relator. you get a bunch of cash back at closing.

I have my checking account, cc and car and renters insurance with them. They make everything so easy it's great. I called to tell them I was deploying and they transfered me to a deployment specialist that took car of my insurance, dropped my cc apr rates and did a few other things I forget. Toook about 10 mins. I plan on getting my next car loan from them and I will probably sick with them forever. A+++++

GREAT COMPANY

I've been using USAA since 1987.

I use them to insure my house and cars. USAA has a relocation service that will help you find a home and provide the mortgage when you transfer.

Great people and company. Drowned 2 rides (hince the nickname Speedboat), wrecked my TransAm and they still havent dropped me nor my rates gone up mad crazy. Been with them since 98, just started banking with them about a month ago. Again nothing but great things with them and nothing but great things to say about them.
