Default Moving to El Paso, need help with '98 SS

I'm completing an overseas tour in Italy. My '98 Camaro SS has been stored in VA Beach for the past 3 years that I've been here and OEF VI. I need to resurect it. Anyone know of good performance shops in the El Paso area?

there are none really out in El paso...Texas speed is about 6hrs up the road in lubbock, TX. Check with fbodyofelpaso...just add org to the end and that should be the site. That's the local F-body board down here.

i was in FBEP (fbody el paso) it was cool, but it was just alot of cruisin not enough racing. i was stationed at bliss b4 i came here to korea and ima actually going back this nov. they got a local makeshift 1/4 race track (used to b an airport) called dezert demonz, as far as the f-body scene it sucks, it was just 1320 and FBEP that had the most cars, as far as local tunning shops go there arent that many, i preferd to take the drive to lubbuck, also expect for ur car to run slower cause of the elevation

Already feeling the high altitude in the car, but I've got some things to correct while I'm here (Sergeants Major Academy, Class 58).

My rotors are warped, the bearings probably need changed. I've got the 'clunk' coming from the rear (which could be anything). And I've got to change out these struts to Bilsteins.

Starting up a new club would be cool, I've seen a number of FBodys already over my short time around post and town.

Nothing going on in terms of shops.
Racing...well go to the track and find out. Plenty of fast cars that go out every friday night. 10's+.
I actually ran FBEP for 2 1/2 years, we cruised a lot and we had plenty of track nights that some of my members didn't go too. Once a month we had a good crowd that would go race, 15 cars on average would go. We'd take up a lot of Desert Demon's parking lot. So don't knock it if you didn't see it or attend.
I'm in Arizona currently and the scene here isn't all too great either.

Check FBEP website... Welcome to the ELP area... there's nothing here but a LOT of room to open the car up! Also check out... www.desertlsx.com . I'm part managment of that local Alamogordo F-Body Chapter, southern NM.

There are a couple of drag strips. Also check the Texas Members room.
