I actually had one of the best times of my life when I was in 29 Palms. If you are into high speed road racing, there are some of the BEST roads in the country to go on. pm for details. The road between Amboy and I-40 is a lot of fun. I passed an STI with my cruise control out there once. Just don't drive out there at night if you don't have to. Coyotes are everywhere and your cell phone will NOT work. Ask me how I know....lol. If you make a right hand turn on that small side road about a half mile before you enter the base you can probably still see what's left of some stock Goodyear's I had on my Camaro.

yeah i was too....he was the only one of my cousins that wasn't an *******...i still remember playing n64 with him b4 he left...then getting the phone call saying that he was killed if your from around there you might have heard about it... lance corp. Christopher Best.

NEED HELP IN 29
well i just got out of the stumps a couple of months ago, except one of my cars are still there. its a 2001 sebring conv. my wife blow the engine in it when she was driving back to ny, i had someone install another engine for me while i was on leave because i just got back from the desert. but the a$$ hole whent to jail for 5 months and lock my car in his garage and i couldnt get it before i got PCS orders to camp lejune. i had a friend go and try to pick it up but he said it wouldnt start. i was hopeing there was a mech. on here that could go and look at it for me. its right in town. im just trying to get it running before i fly down and get it since i dont have a lot of time. this thing has cost me a *** load of money already.

29 palms does suck, it doesn't help that there is a sh*t lake in front of mainside. However Vegas is roughly 3 hrs away. if you take Amboy rd to I-40 and continue to head north to I-15 there are plenty of straights and some nice turns as well. I've occasionally seen cops at roy's gas station in amboy, but thats it. just be careful because there are very few places where you'll have cell phone reception if you wreck and there is very little traffic. Also stretches of the route are very bumpy and its easy to bottom out. i'm not sure of any dragstrips, i know they have one in vegas. I have SLP longtubes and i like them except for the fact that they hang real low and its not hard to scrape them.

No not screwed. Getting saved. I wasn't going to live in the barracks anyway, my girlfriend and her son are moving with me so i would be living out in town. I hope it stays this way for a couple more month. I won't be out there till May or so. What unit are you with out there?
