It is worth the wait to get a good job. Shitty jobs pay the same as good ones.
Please, pay attention to what he posted, I wish I would have looked it like this when I joined up that is for damn sure.

The only recommendation for you that I have is... don't be a 1C5 unless you like sitting in 50F boxes for two hours at a time in the middle of +90F Iraq heat.

Until the end of this deployment I am, I inprocees back to line when I return. Its very possible that I cry like a baby when I leave the MOC. 3 years in here, preparing daily meetings for the Group and Wing commander gives you an entire different picture of the maint world....one I would rather not go back to.

Just do research before you join. Many recruiters and liasons at meps just tell you the job description of most jobs, which DO NOT describe what you will be doing on a normal day. They are just a vague description of what you could be doing. I just got out of the AF. Just wasn't for me... Use all available resources to your advantage. Google.com, and usmilitary.about.com are very good sources. Don't let anyone talk you into or out of a job, find what you want to do and go with it. And if you do go SF, you could always try and go OSI (office of special investigations) which is a pretty cool job. Whatever you do good luck.
