I think the guy is just a knuckle head, happened to have the whistle in his right hand. So he freaked out, and saluted with his left hand. I could be wrong, but I thought the only person in the United states military that was allowed to Salute with his left hand was the Drum Major for the Army Fife and Drum Corps (I think they have a more official name, but it escapes me right now), due all his manual for the mace was with his right hand. The first time I saw that, I was very boot and made a crack about it, till someone set me straight, and I felt a little foolish.
If one of the Navy guys knows anything about thier ceremonies that allows him to do this, please tell me, I would be interested to hear it. But I am betting on the guy being a knuckle head.

Eh, it's basically the same as the dress blues, without the huge gaudy looking yellow service stripes. Anything is better than puke green. That looks ******* stupid.

wouldn't be too biased, but after 6yrs of wearing the damn thing I still love it and will die with my USMC Dress Blues. gotta look good at what you do and none of the rest look as good as we do when we strut......

I voted Marine Corps, Im in MCJROTC and will be attending the United States Naval Academy BUT I will be a Marine, my favorite is the Dress Blue then the Service D, looks like though I gotta get use to navy gear for a while though.

The Naval officer dress whites look good but the sailor dress with the bell bottoms look like ****
The AF looks too much like a business suit with ribbons on it
The Army looks ok but something just isn't right, the dress blues should have been in this poll not the greens
The Marine blues are nice but I was always a fan of knowing what a Soldier was about, the Army depicts accomplishments much better I think with the tabs and patches
The Marine greens however are gross
