dang.. army vs. airforce last night for me... buddy wanted to know why i wasn't over partying it up. i replied, because i don't want to be around with under age drinking and loose my stripes.. buddy replied something along the lines of " i'm in so so don't worry about it", my response.... " lol, your not in untill you graduate basic training jack ***!!!! the delayed entry program doesn't count!! " i hope he makes it through and maybe he'll grow up, but from what i know of him from the past 2 years and his lack of respect for authority.... he may be scrubbing toilets with a toothbrush for a while

One reason the Military Services have trouble operating jointly is that they don't speak the same language. For example, if you told Navy personnel to "secure a building," they would turn off the lights and lock the doors. The Army would occupy the building so no one could enter. Marines would assault the building, capture it, and defend it with suppressive fire and close combat. The Air Force, on the other hand, would take out a three-year lease with an option to buy.

When I deployed as a BALO with the 101st (attached AF guy), I drew a red triangle around a target. They nearly crapped themselves because thats how they draw a friendly position. You'd think we could at least agree on something like that.
